Your crap smells and it’s getting everyone dirty!

Did you not know that your crap stinks? Was this some great mystery, as if you’re walking around thinking your stink don’t stink.

In ministry, the way we lead our personal lives flows directly into how we lead our ministry areas. If we are horrible personal life planners, if our lives are spinning out of control and our calendar is mis-managed; if we can not get a grip on who we are outside of ministry, our ministry areas are bound to suffer.

Goals play a critical part in all of this. Too often we meander throughout life and ministry without an end goal in mind. We have zero clue as to what we want our end product or outcome to be, so when something in our lives fails, it is almost a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Today is simple. Overcoming a messy life is easier than you think. Here’s how:

  1. Develop a life mission statement, for you and your family, and agree to adhere to its principles.
  2. Learn to SAY NO to the non-pertinent things, especially if it doesn’t help you achieve your intended outcome.
  3. Sit down, still yourself, and meticulously weed through the superfluous garbage and focus on the meaningful aspects of your calender. Refuse to fill it with fluff.
